Never underestimate the power of a Disney animated musical featuring princesses. This weekend, Frozen became the highest-grossing animated film of all-time with a worldwide box office of over $1 billion worldwide. The movie grossed approximately $398.4 million at the domestic box office and $674 million internationally. Frozen beat out the current record-holder, The Lion King, and in addition to taking the top-spot for animated films, it is now the 10th highest-grossing film of all-time. For those who say that people won’t turn out for movies with female leads, it’s time you start paying attention.
