Billy Dee Williams and Emma Slater will not continue to fight for, or casually shuffle towards, season 18′s coveted mirrorball trophy on ABC’s Dancing With the Stars.
Williams, 77, cited chronic back pain and his doctor’s warning not to dance as reasons for sitting out tonight. The Star Wars actor, who’s had two hip replacements, thanked Slater for “this wonderful, brilliant, fantastic blast of a time” and promised to keep dancing — “It’s an epic part of me now,” he said of his ballroom experience.
Because Williams left on his own, no one else was eliminated this week after the couples performed their “Most Memorable Year of My Life” routines.
